The McNaMarr Project

The stars aligned in soul heaven’ says Australian Musician Magazine, when multi award winning blues guitarist/vocalist John McNamara and 2022 Blues Music Victoria Hall of Fame People’s Choice Legend Andrea Marr joined forces in 2018. Immediately winning the Blues Performer of the year award they represented Australia at the IBC in Memphis in 2019.

They were semi finalists at the IBC and hailed ‘the new sound of blues’ and were signed to SelectoHits in Memphis by Johnny Phillips, nephew of legendary Sun Records producer Sam Phillips. Their 2019 album Holla and Moan won the Vic Blues Award for album of the year and song of the year, topping charts in Australia and the US. Their second album ‘Run with me’ was released in 2022, hitting #1 on the Australian Blues Charts and US Soul/Blues charts, nominated for a Music Victoria Award and cementing them as one of the best soul blues acts this country has ever produced.
